Dr. Riju Rajendra
Dr. Riju, a Senior Consultant of Orthopaedics specializing in Trauma, Joint Replacement, and Sports Medicine, boasts over 12 years of extensive experience in the field. Trained at premier orthopedic centers across Kerala and India, he holds degrees including D Ortho, DNB Ortho, MNAMS, PGDHHM, and Fellowship in Arthroplasty. Dr. Riju has an impressive track record, having performed and assisted in over 1000 successful joint replacement and arthroscopic surgeries for patients from India and abroad. Utilizing cutting-edge technology such as robotic surgeries, computer navigation, and patient-specific instrumentation, he excels in complex trauma management, primary and revision knee and hip replacements, as well as arthroscopic procedures for joint injuries. His expertise extends to minimally invasive techniques, meniscus preservation, cartilage transplant surgeries, and non-surgical interventions like PRP and BMAC usage.
Graduating from Government Medical College Trivandrum, he pursued post-graduation from both Government Medical College Trivandrum and the National Board Delhi. He furthered his education with an MCh from the University of Seychelles and a Fellowship in Joint Replacements from the Asian Joint Research Institute in Chennai. Additionally, he completed a postgraduate diploma in health and hospital management from Symbiosis University Pune. Dr. Riju's proficiency in trauma management is endorsed by certifications from AO Foundation Switzerland and the Trauma Life Society of India. He has provided on-field medical support for major soccer associations like FIFA and the Indian Soccer League, demonstrating expertise in minimally invasive methods.
Actively engaged in professional bodies, Dr. Riju has contributed to various national and international conferences, serving on the executive committee of the Kerala Orthopaedic Association and organizing numerous events in Kerala, including the National Orthopaedic Conference in Kochi. He has also served as faculty in national and international workshops, including those conducted by AO International, showcasing his commitment to advancing orthopedic education and techniques.
